Grul shaped Echowyn as a living shield against the horrors of the Necropolis, drawing relief from her boundless, childlike joy. But that innocence comes at a hidden cost. Pieces of Echowyn’s past have been quietly taken from her, leaving only strange sounds, scents, and half-remembered visions in their place.
Drawn by these missing pieces, Echowyn has wandered beyond the safety of the Verdant Grove. Whatever waits for her beyond its borders, Grul has made certain her precious Soul Dancer is far from defenseless.
Echowyn dances her way through the grim places of Mideon, fascinated by the Souls she encounters along the way. Her presence stirs them to life, filling her with childlike delight as she skips from Soul to Soul. She doesn’t take kindly to anyone messing with her Soul friends and uses Soporific Pollen to keep enemies from taking them away. When she finds a particularly pretty Soul pit, she choreographs a delightful pageant of entwining Souls. Those fighting alongside her become energized, while enemies caught in her dance find themselves strangely weakened and off balance.
To keep Echowyn safe, Grul wove her soul into the living matrix of Mideon, granting her the gift of Arboreal Rebirth. Where others resurrect scarred, Echowyn awakens among the trees, the horror of her resurrection quietly erased from memory.
Her ultimate, Euphoric Barrier, releases a wave of infectious joy that protects nearby friends from a host of nasty control effects, leaving everyone free to keep doing what they came to do.
The most joyful Hero in Judgement, Echowyn dances among the Souls of Mideon as a champion of Grul and Ista. This Dryad brings a much-needed Soulgazer to the Chimera faction.
